Lumia 800 and 710 were to get a software(WiFi Tethering feature) update bringing fresh features soon. The WiFi Tethering feature had been introduced by Microsoft with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update but due to some unknown reasons Nokia did not enable the same in Lumia 700 and 800 devices. This feature has been one of the most generally offered feature in present day mobile operating system features.
Extracting sources in few network operators, Plaffo, an Italian website said that Nokia will work closely with mobile operators to roll out an update to enable the WiFi tethering on Lumia devices. While the present Nokia Lumia 710 as well as Lumia 800 devices will receive the update very soon the upcoming Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 900 smartphones powered by Windows Phone 7.5 update will feature WiFi Tethering.
The WiFi Tethering feature had been introduced by Microsoft with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update but due to some unknown reasons Nokia did not enable the same in Lumia 700 and 800 devices. Renowned mobile operating systems like Android and iOS are already known to offer this feature for nearly a year. To catch with the pace, Microsoft had implemented this same feature with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango but ultimately it lies with handset maker.
Because of the fact that mobile operators have prevented the firm from allowing this feature in its Lumia devices so this feature has been pending. But as soon as the new firmware will be rolled out this will change in upcoming weeks.
