Siri may or may not be the most helpful or best thing around but it has surely changed the face of digital assistants, voice commands and recognition on mobile phones. And now BlackBerry 10 may have a Siri like voice assistant incorporated in it.
After Siri debuted on the iPhone 4S, we saw many other companies trying to incorporate a Siri like voice assistant in their phones. One of the companies that did was Samsung, who introduced the S-Voice software with the launch of its Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone. On the other hand, we also became known to LG’s Quick Voice software along with HTC’s attempts to launch personal voice assistant software in its phones too. Moreover, now, we are becoming known to the possibility of a Siri like voice assistant in BlackBerry 10smartphones.
The chances of a personal voice assistant debuting in BlackBerry 10 are high as it was reported by CrackBerry, a dedicated BlackBerry forum that a Siri like software was rolled out as an update in theBlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha update. One should keep in mind that whenever new software is launched in an alpha update, it doesn’t mean that is exactly how things will be in real, when the final product is launched. If RIM decides to launch BlackBerry 10 with a Siri like software, the actual software might be very different.
Research In Motion knows that digital assistants are becoming popular and will probably try its luck by introducing it in its new line of BlackBerry 10 smartphones.
